JUST HOW SHE IS

Denise,

JUST HOW SHE IS

She walks in a certain way,

Fortunate that I spend our days,

Never want her to go but to stay,

It’s 4 A.M., I’m wide awake, as I lay.

I want to hold in my arms,

Have an old house on the farm,

Somewhere where we can be alone,

Having a pond skipping stones.

You are laughing while I’m so close,

As I take a picture while you pose,

A gigantic album of our children,

As our oldest is now, turning ten.

You are not going anywhere,

As you know you want to stare,

At my hazel eyes of your reflection,

As you know, I’m yours in perfection.

They tell you false items for security,

You know who I am, full of purity,

They cause so much damage to you,

As you know who will fight being true.

They play mind games with you,

I will stay by your side and view,

Just how she is,

As you are so deeply missed.
