IF ANYONE KNOWS

You will never fade,
Of the nights we laid,
Where your eyes just shine,
Denise, you were always on my mind.
They tried and removed your name,
From processing, as it not the same,
They dissected and took it away,
That’s why I need you to stay.
I need someone to tell me,
Without you, I am not free,
I am living in a world,
Without the woman with curls.
I don’t want pictures on the wall,
I want to hold you and stand tall,
I could write a million letters,
But, the smell from your sweater.
Still lingers from my senses,
You’re with people who build fences,
We should never be divided,
As when I met you, we collided.
Of love and passion from our hearts,
As nothing will break us apart,
I will rest and stay by your side,
In your arms, and swim the tides.
All your thirties, a whole decade,
Are gone, lost, as it will never fade,
No one tells you how life goes,
You make it happen, if anyone knows.
